Chambers, NZSA Visiting Lecturer 2008
The 2008 NZSA Visiting Lecturer is Professor Ray Chambers of the University
of Wollongong. Professor Chambers is currently Professor of Statistical
Methodology at University of Wollongong and has extensive research interests
in the design and analysis of sample surveys, official statistics methodology,
robust methods for statistical inference and analysis of data with group
structure.
Statistics New Zealand is hosting Professor Chambers' visit to New Zealand,
and the New Zealand Statistical Association, through its Visiting Lectureship,
is enabling him to visit other New Zealand centres. His schedule is:
24 March: Arrival in Christchurch
25 March: Stats NZ office in Christchurch
26 March: Canterbury University
27 March: Otago University in the afternoon and
NZSA in the evening
2 - 3 April: Stats NZ office in Wellington
3 April evening: presentation and dinner with
Wellington Stats Group
4 April: Victoria University
7 - 8 April: Stats NZ office in Wellington
9 April: Massey University
14 April: Waikato University
15 April: University of Auckland
16 April: Fly home
